Ingredients

Sugar Coating
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter melted

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 ℉. Spray a donut pan with non-stick spray and set aside.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla together until it becomes frothy. Gradually add in the apple cider.
  4. Add in the flour mixture and mix until well combined.
  5. Spoon batter into the prepared donut pan.
  6. Bake in a 350 ℉ oven for 10-12 minutes.
  7. While the donuts are baking, combine the granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice in a shallow plate or bowl.
  8. When the donuts are finished baking, dip them one by one, into the melted butter. Then, roll in the sugar mixture shaking any excess off.
  9. Cool donuts on a wire rack.
